I enjoyed some Edelstoff last week haha. Not been to Hummel Keller though I imagine they have it BA as it is at the pub. Their Bier Abend last Saturday was a great event, annual knees up in the warehouse opposite the pub with about 8 of their beers on draft (only Keller BA).

You should try beers from Pivovarsky Dvur in Cheyne just outside Prague or the brewery by the sidings in Beroun - they both brew light 10 degree lagers. At 3% (Dvur) and 2.8% (the one in Beroun). Both are fantastic brewing achievements with excellent full malt flavour. If you were blind tasted I'm sure you'd put it 4-4.5%. I'm assuming you haven't tried but perhaps you have.

As for bottled Holzlein, its chalk and cheese. BA its lovely. I keep banging on about the pub, I never miss a chance to visit, easy bus from Bamberg and a lovely walk to Tiefenellern and Melkendorf (though Winkler is v poor) then Geisfeld. Also easy cycle from Bamberg. Nice family business, huge schnitzels and a sun trap (but not glamorous) beer garden.

And yes I am moving to Bamberg to live and (hopefully) work. I shall be having daily German lessons for at least 6 months though.
