Yes, I've read Benkhardt's Zoigl book - or at least substantial bits of it - and want to go back and read it again more thoroughly, plus a couple of others that I picked up. My recollection is that it's a decently put-together reference on the current state of Zoigl in the region, with what looks like good history. I have something like four or five German books on Zoigl, and they're all interesting to cross-reference. Two of the other Zoigl books I have are on amazon punkt de: http://www.amazon.de/Faszination-Zoigl-Vom-Plempl-Kultgetr%C3%A4nk/dp/3939247189/ and http://www.amazon.de/Das-Buch-vom-Zoigl-Wissenswertes/dp/3924783446/ The second one is out of print and a bit dated, but fun to have for a quick and breezy reference. I found remaindered copies at Stangl & Taubald Buchhandlung in Weiden's shopping street, and paid something like €1,99 for one. |
