Well, to nitpick, Goose Island *is* "craft" beer too. (Or was, until it was bought by XYZ International Brewing Conglomeration?) Might Stone be more expensive in NY because it's Californian? Struise as non-brewers...what means "non-brewers"? I've had a few bottles of their strong stuff, and despite being barrel-aged, the last one (Abt 12 or something?) was quite impressive. Don't recall the price being high or normal though.
