I've nevee heard of having the choice between locked and unlocked. You buy a mobile and it works. You do something wrong (a la J. forgetting her pass code) and it locks. If you have the number to unlock it, which comes with every phone, fine, you unlock it. But, if you're away from home don't have that number, you're banjaxed! Except, of course, in Ireland Britain, you just go to one of these handy little back street places and, for a couple of Euro, they unlick. Agreed that this fringes on the criminal but, as they have signs outside saying 'Mobile phones unlocked', I wonder how? |
