| Great walk yesterday. Got the bus to Dorfleins, which helpfully drops you off outside the Eichhorn. Couple in their very pleasant beer garden, then a short walk up to the delightful Diller keller. What a lovely spot! Nice beer too from Tiefenellern. 20 minutes walk through the woods takes you to the Wagner keller in Kemmern another great spot(not where its indicated on this site or bierkeller.de). Then its about 40 minutes up to Breitengussbach. The Hummer seems to have been modernised since I was last here about 10 years ago, and nothing in their publicity or menu suggests that they have stopped brewing, which is a little bit deceitful, I think. Good schnitzel here accompanied by a Seidla of chips! Nice easy train ride back to Bamberg just in time for last orders at the Fassla. Prost! |
