Barnikel,worth the trip? opinions please

Thanks for all the help guys,It has made my mind up. I will definatley give it look. Cheers Nick,I dont walk all that well,but I can do up to about 5km in bursts.I think what I will settle for is train to Hirschaid,for Kraus. then taxi to Robersdorf for lunch, then get that 13 21 bus to herrnsdorf,( where if I have got it right) I can have about half an hour which should give me feel for the place.then bus back to bamberg. Do you think I can do all this on a VGN day ticket?
