John - check Deutsches Bahn web site for details but it is quite feasible - takes about 2.5 hours each way, so it's a long day but only €29 for up to 5 people people using a Bayernkarte. Uncle Jimbo was going to make it last year but got lured away by NickB! See message to Mike - it's only really worth coming on Friday - Monday when the zoiglstube are open. We may try a trip up to Bamberg if we get bored - unlikely but possible - when exactly are you there? We will be in Eschawo from May 27 to June 25. Lucky us!
