It looks like it I can save $80 by going to Konstanz over renting it from the local office. The hassle may not be worth it. Though the optional GPS units are about 1/3 the price in Germany. I have Tom-Tom Europe for iPhone but I forgot to load it on for this trip, not thinking I'd be driving.
