Icy blasts!

You're getting the same thing that hit the Pacific Northwestern USA on 22 November, and that lasted about three days or so. Crazy unseasonably cold, snow, ice, winds, and many a cold-temperature record fell by the wayside on the 23rd: lowest temperature for that date in recorded history, and lowest *high* temperature too! And yes, people here don't know how to cope, because "it's never like this" (even though it was just like this about three years ago, in December, and again last year, in December, and ...). One good thing though: we have excellent beer to get us through it all.
