Vollbier?

Vollbier is a category, as you note. Some brewers, for example Meister in Unterzaunsbach, call their one regular production beer "Vollbier". It's labeled as such. Meister also brews a stronger beer in Winter which they call "Festbier". I suppose it is too strong for the tax category of Vollbier. The brewery in Huppendorf calls one of its regular production beers "Vollbier". Their other production beers of similar strength (Pils, Weizen) also fall into the tax category of Vollbier. So...yes. More or less. Be careful with the terms "11 to 14% extract" though. IMO this is a bad translation; it shouldn't read "11 and 14% sugars and solids", but "11 to 15% original gravity" or something like that. (Someone else more knowledgable in the field should address this....anyone?)
