Bayreuth or Hof vs Amberg or Passau |

| As a break from Munich this fall, we were going to visit Bayreuth and Hof, or Amberg and Passau. However, time constraints will now limit us to 2 days in only one of the four towns. Our main focus will be the beer/breweries in the city itself, as well as easily reached nearby brewery towns. Worthwhile tourist sites (castles/preserved city centers etc.) would be a plus. But beer rates number one. I understand there may be some bias in favor of Bayreuth or Hof, but let me know your thoughts. |
