Frankische Schweiz, including Pottenstein and Museum Railway (from Ebermannstadt); Schloss Seehof (Memmelsdorf); Kloster Vierzehnheiligen and lots of other Antiksteinklötze, etc. You may want to check http://www.bamberg.info/www_tks/bamberg_eng_home_268_89_7_f.htm and http://www.fraenkische-schweiz.com/ (just to mention a few resources) Somewhat further from Bamberg, but well worth a visit, is the Freilichtmuseum in Bad Windsheim. And yes, you can find beer-related stuff there as well... 2) Presumably you want Burg Rabenstein, not Berg Rabenstein. Yes, there should be a way to get there somewhere nearby by bus (that is, the road junction to Rabensfeld in Waischenfeld, then walk from there). I'm not sure if you can get to Burg Rabenstein from Neumuhle, I think the bus might stop there too. However, it is somewhat complicated... By train to Ebermannstadt (change at Forchheim); then bus 389 or 222 to Gossweinstein, change there to bus 396 direction Bayreuth, which will get you to Schweinsmuhle. Maybe Treinjan can help you get nearer to the place. Jos |
