OK, here is the info... Robert is sort of inbetween. As far as the tax people are concerned he is a commercial brewery and pays tax as a commercial brewery. But before he can sell the beer he must go through a process which includes inspections by the Health Ministry which he could not pass in his current location. So if he finds a suitable location he may become fully commercial. For the trivia buffs, he brews 2.4 Hl per batch and brews 4 to 8 times per year. I tasted his latest beer last night and it was excellent but at 6% the alcohol was a little high for him (not that I complained). In the Fränkisches Brauereimuseum there is a display of krugs and glasses from all the Bamberg breweries, both current and historical. Next to a Polar Bär mug is a Robesbirre mug from Robert... |
