Now I'm wondering...could Landbier be treated the same as Rauchbier? You have Rauchbier Lager, Rauchbier Märzen and Rauchbier Ur-Bock. But they are all considered Rauchbier due to the running theme of smoke. So then could "Landbier" and/or "Kellerbier" be viewed the same way? That while Landbier is usually some form of helles, and Kellerbier some form of pilsner, that it is also possible for a Landbier to be based on Dunkel, as long as it is served in the appropriate fashion and has a rougher "country" character? |
