Agree re Dublin.  Difficult to find resonably priced accommodation but that's true of most of Ireland.  One or two half decent pubs that sell cask beer (W. J. Kavanagh's the best I've found) but I suppose worth a day or two. IMHO, Ireland's definitely not for the beer tourist, even with the much hyped 'craft brewery revolution' (sorry Nick, their words not mine).
