This looks quite interesting and, in view of my limited capability in the German language, could you give a translation, or, at least, a summary of any important points. Vielen Danke! See my earlier comments for the dishonesty involved in labelling non-komuunbrauerei bier 'zoigl'. Re protection: as stated earlier, it is said that previous attempts to secure protection failed because zoigl is not a unique beer recipe but, rather, a cultural movement. The Oberpfalz people seem to be in 2 minds about the effect of growing usage: one believing that it provides free publicity, which will, eventually, bring more visitors to the region; the other that it is a blatant act of piracy. I go with the second.
