| Yeah, B's requirement of 6% income is based on the lost interest income on the investment. 15 - 20% margins...hmm. Also, no food, this would be a tasting room, not a pub. And being located in Franconia, where people keep to their bloody selves, there would be no problems with pub bores going on and on! More realistic would be a tiny space where I could brew and package the beer, then sell what we don't drink at home on the internet to Scandinavian and Danish beer geeks for 18€ a 33cl bottle, no tasting room operation. There's a big Döner shop on a corner of the Hauptstraße here. Always, always busy, and their Döner is the best in town AFAIK, though I've not had any in years. They actually have two adjacent shops, the active Döner one is one door from the corner, whereas the corner shop is empty, assumedly due to the Rauchverbot having crushed their hookah business there. There's a "to let" sign up, saying to enquire at the Döner shop. It would be a fabulous spot, and hey, maybe they would even man the taps if I invested in a brew kit. They sell Kitzmann and the one miserable Türkisch beer, so they're not 100% teetotalers. And it's probably already roughly set up for the gastro trade. But that would be wacky, going into the beer business with Turks. |
