OT: Cycling in Britain

Yes indeed, walking from pub to pub is exactly what the Mrs & I do whilst in Britain. It's brilliant, as they say. Need to write up a report from the last trip. The free access to land, hard fought for in generations past, is a fantastic thing about the UK. A fairly foreign concept to us Yanks, and it's not like a Franconian farmer will shoot you for crossing his fields between Brauereigaststätten, but still, it's a fairly uniquely British privilege, isn't it? And we learn something new about proper English each time we visit. This last time, it was a Sheffield tram conductor who said, "Three day ago, there was a group of Yanks doing a pub crawl here. And six week ago, there was a bunch of Canadians." Or some such...the point being the missing "s" with the plural.
