Krug Geisfeld to re-open in January

The brewery Krug has been the first franconin brewery which have brewed "craft bier", many years before the wave has reached Franconia after 2010.

2008 Stefan Krug has brewed a beer in the style of a belgian trappist beer. 2009 he brewed the "Schwarzes Schaf" (an irish stout). I wrote about this 2009;

I remember a "Kümmel-Bier", a beer mix wtth Caraway liquer (not brrwed, but a mix of beer and spirit), very nice aroma..

Only a few know about this, because Stefan Krug has offered such seasonal beers his local cutomers without marketing, public relatons or socil media. Economic it was not a good idea. Some beers were loved and quickly drunk. Other beers need a long time. It was more a hobby.
