Nice one. How about Augustiner in Salzburg? I remember being more awestruck by that location than Tegernsee (did a day trip from Munich the same week that we did Tegernsee), but either one is spectacular. I should also just drive down there and see for myself again. Also beer in the Südtirol (northern former Austrian Italy) tends to be brewed in spectacular locations. Beer's not Franconian snuff though. Still time for that. Lovely drive, proper mountains. But back to me. My beer requirements have diminished radically the past couple weeks or so. I no longer really care much about which beer is better than which other, Franconian, frän[k|g]isch, English, British, American, Belgian or otherwise. Couple of Urquells and I'm set. And cheap red wine. Actually, the less hoppy the better for hormones...moob avoidance. |
