Hmm, it's all a question of taste. I would certainly not put the Monchi lager in the same class as Mahrs U, it's far better, and in my (and a number of friends' opinion) is one of the best around. Agree that Rittmayer (Aisch) is also superb though I've never been so excited by Roppelt (it's good don't get me wrong, just not quite a favourite, though happy to persevere). I would also say Holzlein Vollbier, Hummel Kellerbier, Muller (Reundorf) Kellerbier and Griess Kellerbier are in my personal favourite list. I'm moving to live in Bamberg this coming January so I'm sure I will need to do much more research before making any conclusions :) |
