I think the Duesseldorf Alt brewers use Spalter hops. I don't know how many IBUs an alt bier has. But to my palate that is an "acceptable amount" of hops for a drinkable session beer. In the UK, I find some of the new-fangled hoppy IPAs undrinkable. And overpriced. |
