OT: Visit to Manchester |

| Mainly for Nick (but there may be other Mancunia beer afficianados out there!). So, first visit to my home town for a year and got off bus from Liverpool Airport right opposite the Circus Tavern, which is one of the smallest pubs in the world, and was one of my regular haunts more than 40 years ago! Although in-laws were waiting, couldn't resist a quick visit. Enjoyed a beautiful pint of Tetley's Bitter, my goodness this tasted so good after such a long absence. For me, the perfect mix of malt and hops, though a bit pricey at £3 a throw, but worth every penny. Thursday am: just about to start on a visit to the city centre - may have to stick to halfs as there are so many places to try. Will report back when sober! |
