| It is not directly above Stilbruch, but up the stairs to the right thru the archway, I had been there many years ago when it was the "Blues Bar" and they had the occasional Fässla barrel. The owner has personal connections to both Mönchsamacher and Metsgerbräu. He said he had a couple of barrels of M. Maibock but was keeping them until enough people would commit to buying before he tapped them. About half the crowd was drinking fou-fou drinks and the other half Metzgerbräu or various bottles of Mönschambacher. In other news, the building where Mondschein is was bought by next door neighbor Lewinsky's so the Monday night Hölzlein may go away. And next door, Blaue Glocke will close in a couple of weeks as it's building was sold. Currently service Greiss Kellerbier so a big loss. It sounds like there is big money buying up property on Sandstrasse -- probably means more venues like Live Club :( Also heard talk of a new brewery in Lichtenfels. |
