I did append the adjectivie 'small' but I get your point. Am I wrong but does the 'craft' approach seem to be spreading to new breweries in Germany? I notice that a lot of them, including Andi and Weyermann (ok, I know W. are a bit different), seem to be going in for all sorts of wierd and wonderful concoctions. I'm not sure that this is the correct approach. Personally, I'd rather a brewery concentrated on making one or two dependable beers. Ok, mess about on the side but 'do what you do well'. Look at all the little breweries in Franken that we bust a gut to get to and maybe produce only one beer, which they have for a 100 + beers. |
