Website Discrepancies (?)

Eric, The CD is probably about a year old now. I am not sure if Frank Wetzel is still doing updates to it. The advantage of the CD is it has opening days and times, which can change at the whim of the brewer. It also has phone numbers to call before you visit, but that requires some German as many of these places have no English speakers. If Frank is still doing updates I will get one in May when I next plan to be in Bamberg. The PDF booklet is mainly Bamberg, but I am slowly adding stuff for surrounding places to visit. If you are familiar with Bamberg then there may not be a lot new for you. There are also Google maps on this site -- there should be a map link on every brewery listing. From there you can also get a map of all breweries in the area. The bulk of the ones around Bamberg were taken from actual GPS readings but some are just Google's address to location software. I think you're best be is to tell us where you've been and how you plan to travel (public transportation, car, bike, etc) and the folks here can suggest places. Another problem is that in early September many small breweries take holidays will be closed. I found this out myself the hard way a couple years ago. There is no rhyme or reason -- you just have to call or visit and hope for the best. After all, this is Franconia, not Prussia :)
