| Iagree the brewer may have chosen(or been forced to by supply) use a lower alpha hop of the same variety,but here in the uk,hops are often priced by thier alpha content.So he would have to use more hops to achieve the same level of bitterness,and purchase more hops than usual,defeating the point!IMHO.I think he is experimenting with less hops to try and economise,and would then wait for feedback from regular customers,so i believe he would welcome opinions on any change in flavour. cheers! |
