Ungespundetes vs Kellerbier |

But not all Kellerbier is Ungespundetes. When I was in Salzburg last December I stopped at Stern Brau for a Kellerbier and it was served from a regular draft, not out of a barrel. (After having spent a couple hours drinking barrel-served Christmas bock at Augustinerbrau I was a tad disappointed). Maybe kellerbier now simply means unfiltered. I may be wrong here but I think the Mahrs sampler case has a bottled Kellerbier, hmmmm.... So what is the relationship between Zwickl and Kellerbier. Is it simply that both are unfiltered? A research grant sounds good to me, too bad I'm a special colections librarian and not in nutrition science or biology where I could come up with a believable grant proposal. :-) Mike |
