Labour Day in Germany - May 1st

< http://www.schulferien.org/Feiertage/Feiertage_Bayern.html > Tag der Arbeit (Day of Work, a funny literal translation, actually) is on Wednesday. Christi Himmelfahrt is then on Thursday, 9 May...perhaps that's what you're thinking of? There's no other holiday between them. Speaking as an English-as-foreign-language trainer, if you're going to go to the trouble of not deleting the "u" from "labour" (bravo!), you should also note that British English usually does dates the other way round too, like the rest of the world does: "1st May 2013". Or even "1 May". Don't even need a comma! ;) You'd be surprised at how difficult the American way of writing dates is for non-Yanks to grasp.
