Hi Fred, Thanks very much for your comments re: Franconia & wheat beer. I've been told many times by many others that southern Bavaria is the place for wheat beers and it's true that I've enjoyed many good weizenbiers in the south but my buddy and I have also had very good luck in northern Bavaria/Franconia. In fact, we both agree that the best wheat beer comes from Wurzburg. Also, while it's true that we prefer wheat beer we do also like and indulge in other styles so Franconia is still our first choice of where we want to spend the majority of our German vacation. Did you see my other post and do you have any suggestions as to a good place to stop on our way to Kreuzberg? Thanks, Eric
