Does Michael James know about the UK? |

I've learned from experience that it's far more relaxing and enjoyable to not drive at all. I'm not saying I will never drive in Germany again. I might depending on the itinerary. But I can say for sure that the most enjoyable trips I've spent in Franconia were without a car and for me there is no need to rent a car when staying in Franconia. Yes that does limit the options. So it's not as easy or even possible in some cases to get out to places like Seinsheimer, Speilbach, etc. without the help of one of our very generous friends. To each their own I suppose. Rating beers is not my hobby and so there is less incentive for someone like me to rent a car to get out to a place that's not easy to reach just so I can add another notch to my r8beer belt. I'm not judging those that do. Good luck and be careful I say. My point was only that it may be possible that most of the American beer tourists whom might be inclined to drink and drive are the r8beer folks. I think it's fairly obvious that Mr. James' article about the very topic was geared towards them. |
