| There's always lots of talk about the Winterbockbier(s), but not so much about the Festbier(s). What should one look out for? This year's Meister (Unterzaunsbach) didn't wow me as in previous years, being a bit Cheerios-y. The Hetzi is better than it has been recently, a bit less over-sweet. Haven't been to Roppelt to have theirs vom Fass, and they're closed now until early Jan. I shall procure a case of Witzgall's today or tomorrow, and will swing by Roppelt to see if they're doing dock sales. I really haven't found much this year; I will have to rectify this. |
