These lists seem somehow to favour US-beers - wonder why that is? Seriously, well done Gerhard and great to see Andi doing well - hope it boosts his tradee, if he needs a boost. I really don't see how you can compare beers produced by small craft breweries to those of the big manufactuers. For example, when I'm in the UK, it's really important to go into a pub owned by breweries such as Holts of Manchester, Timmy Taylors of Keighley, Adnams of Southwold or, of course, Fullers, and know that I'm going to get a good pint. For the average punter, beer drinking doesn't involve the sort of research that most of us carry out. It's a question of going to the nearest pub and being guaranteed a good - and natural - drink. |
