| Hi, I've posted here before but not for a long time (a year, maybe more). I usually post when I'm planning a trip to Germany which is exactly what I'm doing now. Anyway, In addition to this one I also make frequent use of a website called beerme.com when planning my trips. I've found that they have very accurate and current information regarding breweries in Germany (please let me know if anyone disagrees). I've noticed recently while investigating breweries in Franconia that they list quite a few more than this website does. Specifically there's quite a difference regarding the number of breweries in these towns: Aschaffenburg - Beer Me list 5 this site lists 3 Bad Staffelstein - Beer Me lists 10 this site lists 0 Bayreuth - Beer Me lists 7 this sites lists 5 Hallerndorf - Beer Me lists 7 this site lists 5 Schesslitz - Beer Me lists 6 this site lists 3 I had specifically chosen those towns because of the high number of breweries that Beer Me says are there yet this site lists significantly less. Of particular interest is this town Bad Staffelstein (between Bamberg and Coburg). Beer Me indicates that town hosts a remarkable 10 breweries but this site doesn't even have a listing for it. That's kind of curious. Can anyone comment on the disparity? Thanks in advance for any comments anyone may be willing to offer. Eric |
