| Jurgen, 1) Were you there, personally, or is this a second had report? (Added the brewery) 2) I list some breweries that whose beers are contract brewed, but mostly that is because otherwise I get emails saying "you forgot Brewery XXXX" -- sort of like "Why don't you have 10 breweries in Bad Staffelstein like website YYYY has:) I really am hesitating to add a listing that is a known contract brewer. 3) I also don't have Wilde Rose, Ringlein and Röckelein in Bamberg. If I include all contract breweries the signal to noise ration will be slanted to far to "noise" :) I liked Gambrinus when it was brewed by Maisel. Now I think it is Göller, Zeil and was not that good when I was there in September -- and I was on my bike where my standards are greatly reduced when I am thirsty :) If you know of any other breweries I have listed that are suspected of being contract brewed, let me know so I can flag them as such -- or at least warn people they might be contract beers. |
