Horse meat dishes in Bamberg? |

The thing about horse meat is that it's the closest thing to beef I've experienced, with the possible exception of bison (American "buffalo"). Most people can barely discern the difference between horse steaks and similar cuts of beef. If anything, the horse meat is a little leaner, but it's far from gamy or anything else that registers as "odd." Then again, I'm up for just about any source of quality animal protein - I'll readily add lamb and goat to the list, and I'll probably be fine with camel if I ever try it. Bonus: all of them go well with good beer. |
