Fake Zoiglbier

The first three paragraphs talk about the practice still being alive in the Oberpfalz and how it works (Zoiglstern & -Kalendar showing where it's on tap, etc.). Then how affordable it is to eat and drink at a Zoiglstube; how informal it is (no Siezen, only Duzen); how Zoigl has changed from an "old man's beer" to a cult drink; how 20 Kommunbrauer(s) have teamed up to protect Zoigl, since so many have jumped on the bandwagon; how they fear their 600-year tradition is being sold out by the big brewers because it's not protected. An echter Zoigl has to be fermented at the Stube, etc.; don't expect help from the patent offices in Munich, since the resistance from the Bayerischer Braubund, Verband der Privatbrauereien and large breweries would be to strong. The guy from the Altneihauser Feierwehrkapell'n worries about the big breweries copying Zoiglbier and shutting down the Kommunbrauer(s). "You can't bottle emotion and cart it 600 km through the Republic." But they're taking their case to the EU, which protects Aischgründer Karpfen and Nürnberger Bratwurst. The "Every Batch Tastes Different" piece...you can figure that out yourself!
