Well, swirling it around *does* get rid of excess CO2. But yes, the flavour's still not the same as it should be, he's right about that IMO/IME. And the condition's fairly ruined as a result, but it's still better than drinking it all gassed up. Lesser of two evils, etc.

Mrs drove me up to Bamberg for the Steinbier do yesterday, and we stopped at Keesmann on the way, to pick up a case of the Pils for home use. Indeed it is *way* too gassy in the bottle as well as on keg draught there. I *think* it's better at Abseits.
