First time to Bamberg

Hello all. I'll be visiting Bamberg August 4,5, and 6th during my first ever trip to Germany. I'm very excited about it and hoping to squeeze as many pubs and beers into that 3 days as humanly possible. Don't have any questions about it right now since there's plenty of good information here already. One thing I am tossing around in my head is possibly taking the train one day out to Kulmbach for the festival going on there at the same time. I was wondering if anyone else was attending that festival this year or has anyone in the past. If so, is it worth the day trip?
