German rail pass offer |

| I got an email from the German rail this morning with an offer for a "test" Bahncard 25 for €25 for four months. From the conditions, you can use this card to get a 25 percent discount on the normal trains prices as well as the savings price on the long distance trains and in many buses and other local transport. The sale price of the card is available until 31 May this year and valid for four months after the first date of validity. I'm afraid you may have to do this in German: when I switched the language to Dutch, it brought me to the home page of the site, where I didn't see the offer. I assume the same applies for English. You can reach the offer page here: http://www.bahn.de/p/view/bahncard/ueberblick/probebahncard.shtml If you do this, chose the "Buchen und ausdrucken" option as the other choice (Online bestellen) only works if you have an address in Germany. Although I usually buy Bayern Tickets, they are not valid on the high-speed trains. It seems this pass is. |
