| Hi Barry, A couple of trips Ive done recently include Schesslitz, easilyaccessible by bus from Bamberg and 2 excellent breweries. One closes in the afternoon so check beforehand. You can stop in Drosendorf or Memmelsdorf on the way back. A bit more of an effort is the train out from Nuremberg Ostbahnhof, which goes to Weissenohe and Grafenberg(3 breweries in total). Grafenberg's a bit of an uphillwalk so maybe not suitable for your wife. On the way back you can check out Nuremberg or stop off at Buttenheim, Eggolsheim and/or Hirschaid or indeed all of the above depending on your stamina levels. Best of all this will only cost you €14.70 for 2 adults(VGN tagescarte or something similar). Of course there are many other day trips, depends on how much effort you want to make, buses can be sporadic, Enjoy!! |
