"Augustiner Keller where you can get the goods out of the barrel." What are these goods? Oh yeah, I forgot: sweetish --what slight bit of flavour there is, anyway-- over-strong, alcohol-water mix at nearly twice the price of a proper countryside Kellerbier. I suppose I should recommend J&B visit Munich for the return experience, but OTOH, I should also suggest they *don't*, just to preserve the lovely memories they have of the place. It's probably quite a bit different. And if you think prices in Bamberg are out of control.... Actually, this brings to mind discussions of Munich with Gerhard from Roppelt's Keller. He worked or lived there in the 60's, and bemoans the way the it's changed. Take his advice and eschew the place, his advice has always been spot on! (OTOH, come visit the Braukunst Live fest with me and others here next March. I'll help keep you clear of the Zentrum.)
