The real travesty is that CAMRA hopes to attract youngsters to the beer festivals by offering foreign beer, and they hope that those youngsters will then also be lured into having a real ale. I fail to see however why they have to (ab)use foreign beer by not dispensing it properly. Or would there be a hidden agenda to make it policy to do it on purpose? Maltreating foreign beers so they will rapidly detoriate, to ensure that the aformentioned youngsters will turn to real ale instead? And yes, let's get back to a decent german beer now indeed, properly dispensed (CO2 top pressure, or gravity for Ungespundetes/Kellerbier) or from a bottle, not from a handpump nor from a "fietspomp" (bike tube inflator). Did I ever mention that I question the right of existence of bottled Ungespundete/Kellerbiere? |
