Extensive range of different brands. Most is Einheitsbier, but some specialties - like the Kellerbier - are nice. Available throughout Bamberg, but I especially like the place at S:t Michaelsberg near the beer museum.

There are better beers in Bamberg, but nothing beats sitting in the Maisel garden on a summer evening with a group of friends eating a currywurst. Great people working there and excellent kellerbier.

A very good "bock" bier. Fast, friendly service & lively atmosphere.Nicely decorated & very clean. The food was wonderful. You will want to return many times.

I agree, the Bock bier is very good. Was able to put down 7 at the bockbieranstich last week. Friendly people, nice beer garden. Appears to be newly romodeled on the inside with a lite colored wood. I'll be back.

If you are going to Mahrs/Keesmann, it is worth the additional walk to the Maisel brewery. The Pils I had was first rate and the meals are great value. Mike

The Maisel, Mahrs, Keesman beer triangle is well worth the visit. The three are within walking distance of one another and I have visited the 3 in one day. I prefer the Mahrs, and Maisels Beers to that of Keesman but my wife liked the Keesman. Maisel has good food, served while open, and the larger of the beer gartens. Mahrs & Keesman only serve food during the lunch and dinner hours.

I grew up at the Maisel Brewery. My grandfather Rudolf Maisel founded the business in 1894.

I was an American that worked at this Keller and I'm sad to hear that it closed. The beer was excellent, the food was exquisite, and the beer garden was a nice place to have Sunday dinner, will sure miss it....
